HNGRT Donation

February 2020

Another major boost to the Peter Fund came during February with a donation from the Hampshire Narrow Gauge Railway Trust who, as detailed previously, is being wound up and their assets distributed to other deserving causes. The Museum and the Trust have enjoyed a good working relationship over the years with both the Trust's steam locomotives, Wendy and Cloister, being loaned to the Museum at one time or another, the last being in 2019 when Wendy covered for Peter.

The Trust have donated £2500 to the Museum which will be allocated to the Peter Fund to further this expensive work.

Les Munckton, Chairman of Trustees of the Hampshire Narrow Gauge Railway Trust presents the cheque for £2500 to Valerie Mills, Director of the Amberley Museum. Peter’s saddle tank can be seen in the background.
