Railway Gala Weekend

Sat/Sun 10/11 July 2021

Having had to cancel our 2020 Gala, we don't have to explain that, there was much doubt cast on the feasibility of running the 2021 event. Much hope sprung from Boris's "Road Map" which aimed to remove most of the legal restrictions by mid June so we felt that we could plan something by way of a Gala event.

In the end a number of local railway modellers came along with their layouts and a couple of societies put on a display as well. We also welcomed Wheels of Southsea with their exhibition shop.

In addition Humphrey's Barn was occupied by the Surrey & Sussex Black Sheep Freem0n30 group with their large modular layout which they can piece together in seemingly limitless configurations. They say they have never used any configuration of modules more than once which probably isn't as difficult as it sounds as they keep building more! They filled all the available space and still kept to the "Social Distancing" rules. You'll just have to come and see what they've concocted this time.

Here are the photos ...
